Boonchuay loves rearing chickens, he takes so much delight in fixing up the coop and taking care of them. We keep livestock (pigs, chickens, catfishes) to try to help lighten the financial expenses of purchasing food, and also to teach the children how to raise and care for animals as they learn to be responsible for the animals' well being.
Sharing some of his milk with Momo our pet dog. Momo loves the kids very much and clearly so do the kids.
You are forever young at heart!
Every child deserves the right to be in school. An education will bring any child far in life and is able to create platforms to live out full potentials and talents. We believe that each child should be in school and we want them to get an education for them to lead a better life.
There's always time to gather and take funny pictures, be goofy, be who you are! Our children love to take pictures, they are full of interesting poses and surely, their warm smiles will touch your hearts.
Working hard in our rice field. We plant rice in our field, to teach the children life-skills such in order for them to be self-sustainable and to live independent. Rice is very essential and we consume lots of rice as we have many hungry and growing children-who enjoy eating!
Every morning and evening, the children are to carry out their assigned chores. They diligently do so and take much joy in their task.
Every child is a unique individual who is talented and gifted in various ways. They each have bright a future. So if would be greatly appreciated if you could help us help them, as they develop and grow under our care. We always tell our children to dream big, and no matter how big their dreams may be that they will be able to achieve it if they work hard and strive for it.
Sombat guiding the younger children with their school work. Every night, the children work hard on their school work. The staff and older children will help the younger ones with their work. Pictured is one of the children's house in Ampoe Pai. The father was an alcoholic who was addicted to drugs and abused the child daily, the mother ran away leaving the father and child behind. We want to provide a safe home for our children, to house them in our homes is to protect and love them from their broken families.
We believe in pouring our hearts out, to help children in need; to give them the 'water' they need to grow well and flourish. They are like lost seedlings, some may have even withered, but we see hope in restoring ans refreshing their broken souls.
The importance of family, is being there for one another no matter what. Family is where the heart is, where love never runs out, they are the people that will not abandon you. To grow up together, doing life together is such a amazing journey when you have good friends and 'siblings' to walk with you through it.
One of our children donning her beautiful Lahu outfit. Our children are all from the various hill tribes, Akha, Lisu, Lahu, Tai Yai, Hmong, Karen. We value their roots and we encourage the children to never lose their sense of identity in their respective tribal group. Culture and traditions are very important.
